Hugh McColl Senior Advisor, BBH Capital Partners, Private Banking
Hugh McColl is a Senior Advisor to BBH Capital Partners and is actively involved in sourcing, investment evaluation and providing post-investment value-added oversight to portfolio companies. He currently serves as a Partner at Collwick Capital, a boutique alternative investment firm. Before founding Collwick Capital, Mr. McColl spent 14 years in the hedge fund industry. From 2006 to 2009, he served as a private investments portfolio manager for Round Table Investment Management and McColl Brothers Lockwood. From 2000 to 2006, Mr. McColl served as the COO for M&M Partners, where he was responsible for all business aspects and marketing for a $1 billion AUM event-driven hedge fund. From 1996 to 2000, he served as the CEO and the portfolio manager for McColl Partners, a long/short financial services hedge fund. From 1991 to 1996, Mr. McColl served as the president of The Shelton Companies, a Charlotte-based family office, where he was responsible for overseeing both public and private investment portfolios. From 1987 to 1991, he was an associate director with Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. in the financial institutions group and prior to that with Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co. from 1982 to 1985. Mr. McColl graduated from the University of North Carolina with a B.S. in business administration and the University of Virginia Darden School of Business with an MBA.
