Ivan Pirzada is responsible for BBH's Corporate Finance Advisory, Commercial Lending, and Private Equity investing activities in the Boston office. Having joined the firm in 2000, he has over 23 years of experience as an M&A advisor, board member, family business advisor, and private equity investor as a Principal with BBH Capital Partners (BBHCP), the firm's private equity investment vehicle.
Earlier in his career, Ivan was responsible for BBH’s healthcare corporate finance advisory (M&A) practice worldwide, leading a variety of transactions, including equity recapitalizations, corporate sales, divestitures, and acquisitions. His clients included owner-managed private companies and public companies in both the U.S. and Europe, where he completed over $5 billion in M&A transactions.
Ivan serves on the board of directors of Haven Behavioral Healthcare, a BBHCP portfolio company, and MPS Microsystems, a family-owned company headquartered in Biel, Switzerland. He previously served on the board of directors and chaired the audit and M&A committees of Ethos Veterinary Healthcare, a BBHCP portfolio company that sold for over $1.8 billion in 2022. He is also a member of the faculty at the Harvard Chan School of Public Health and a member of the school's Health Policy and Management Executive Council. Ivan received a B.A. from Bowdoin College.
