Shawn is a Partner and the Global Head of Business Development and Head of ETF Services for BBH’s Investor Services business, which provides asset servicing and operating model solutions to the world’s leading asset managers and financial institutions. He oversees teams that collaborate with clients and their advisors to launch products, build strategic alliances, and help support business expansion. He also has product oversight responsibility for BBH’s global ETF solutions related to custody, fund services, and authorized participant (AP) solutions for both passive and active ETF strategies. Shawn lends his expertise broadly across the Firm, serving as a member of the Relationship Excellence Leadership Committee, ETF Committee, Investment Review Group Steering Committee, and Pricing Oversight Committee.

Shawn is a recognized industry leader with extensive experience in financial services, mutual funds, and ETFs. He serves on the Investment Company Institute’s ETF Advisory Committee, contributing expertise on regulatory, legislative, and market issues.

Prior to joining BBH in 2009, Shawn worked for Barclays Global Investors’ iShares ETF business, where he helped design, develop, and launch ETFs for their product strategy team. Shawn began his career at Merrill Lynch on the trading desk and has held senior leadership and innovation positions at Andersen Consulting and Investors Bank and Trust.

Additionally, Shawn is President of the Board of Directors for Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE), which works to secure adoptive homes for children in foster care. Shawn holds a BS in finance from Syracuse University and an MBA from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business. He joined BBH in 2009 and is resident in the Boston office.
