R.J. Hoar is a Managing Director in the Relationship Management team within BBH’s Investor Services business. Based in Boston, R.J. is a specialist in both public and private market fund structures and responsible for servicing cross-border fund clients. In his role, R.J. works with global asset managers to help them establish and grow their fund businesses, particularly beyond the U.S. market, with a focus on the Cayman Islands, Ireland, and Luxembourg. His favorite part of his job is partnering closely with managers as they explore new areas of growth, acting as both a strategic sounding board and an operational enabler to help clients achieve their goals.

R.J. joined BBH in 2012 and has held roles in ETF Services and supporting the firm’s institutional business in Japan. These experiences provided him with a broad perspective on global distribution and operational models, which he uses every day to guide clients through the complexities of global fund structures and expansion strategies.

Outside of BBH, R.J. can be found sailing, skiing, golfing, and watching his kids play baseball and softball. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Roanoke College and a master’s degree in finance from Harvard University Extension School.
