Michael F. Black, CFA

Michael Black is a Managing Director in the Single Family Office (SFO) group of BBH. In this role, he helps shape and execute the team’s long-term strategy. He develops investment-focused relationships with BBH’s largest and most complex SFO clients and prospects, working to understand their needs and address their investment challenges.

Prior to joining the firm, Michael led SFO investment teams at BNY Mellon and Fidelity Investments, building relationships with some of the largest ($1B+) and most complex family offices in the U.S. He began his SFO career at NEPC as an Investment Consultant, advising family office, university endowment, and foundation clients on asset allocation, portfolio construction, risk management, and manager selection. He is also a Senior Advisor to MIT’s E14 Fund.

Michael received a B.A. with distinction in philosophy and economics from Boston University, and an MBA and M.S. in finance from Boston College. He is also a CFA charterholder.
