John Secor is a Principal of the firm and the head of Corporate Advisory. In this role, he advises privately owned businesses and their owners on a broad range of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and financings, and on important issues at the intersection of the business and the family, helping owners develop capital policies, governance structures, and business and wealth succession plans. 

John has extensive experience in corporate and investment banking, advising companies on a wide range of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity private placements, corporate restructurings, valuations, and fairness and solvency opinions. Prior to joining the firm, John worked in the investment banking groups at J.P. Morgan, The Bank of New York, and Duff & Phelps.

John received a B.A. from Bowdoin College and an MBA from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University.
