Ivan Pirzada

Ivan Pirzada lead's the firm's Boston office for the Capital Partners line of business. In this role, he is responsible for corporate finance/family business advisory, commercial lending, private equity investing activities, and wealth management with approximately $10B in AUM. He has over 25 years of experience as a mergers and acquisitions (M&A) advisor, board member, family business advisor, and private equity investor. Prior to his current role, Ivan was a Principal on the BBH Capital Partners Private Equity (BBHCP PE) team, where he sourced, evaluated, and led a number of private company investments. Earlier in his career at BBH, he led the firm's healthcare corporate finance advisory (M&A) practice worldwide where he was involved with a variety of transactions, including equity recapitalizations, corporate sales, divestitures, and acquisitions. His clients included owner-managed private companies and public companies in both the U.S. and Europe, where he completed over $7 billion in M&A transactions. Prior to joining the firm, he worked at Cambridge Associates.

Ivan serves on the Board of Directors of MPS Microsystems, a family-owned manufacturer of engineered components for a variety of end markets (medical, watch, aerospace, etc.) headquartered in Biel, Switzerland. He previously served on the Board of Directors and chaired the audit and M&A committees of Ethos Veterinary Healthcare, a BBHCP PE portfolio company that sold for over $1.8 billion in 2022, and Haven Behavioral Healthcare, an in-patient hospital serving mental health patients, which sold in 2024.

Ivan is a member of the faculty at the Harvard Chan School of Public Health and a previous member of the school's Health Policy and Management Executive Council. He currently serves on the Board of Advisors of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Ivan received a B.A. from Bowdoin College.
