Valentino Carlotti is a Partner and the Head of the Corporate Advisory and Banking practice within Private Banking, which provides capital and advisory services to support private business owners in accomplishing their business and personal goals.
Val spent most of his career at Goldman Sachs, where he worked from 1994 to 2017 and was a Senior Partner. During his tenure at Goldman Sachs, Val held leadership roles in Investment Banking, Institutional Equities Sales, and Client Relationship Management, among other areas, culminating as the Head of the Institutional Client Group and President of the Goldman Sachs Brazil Bank. Immediately prior to joining BBH in 2020, Val was the Chief Business Development Officer at Sotheby’s Auction House and a member of its Executive Management Committee.
Outside of work, Val is involved in numerous philanthropic institutions, including serving on the boards of trustees of The Boys’ Club of New York (BCNY), Rockefeller University, Gagosian Gallery, The American Ballet Theatre, and Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT). Val earned his B.A. from Yale University and his MBA from Harvard Business School.
