Ilan Solot is a Global Market Strategist covering both developed and emerging markets within Investor Services. Ilan helps clients understand the current economy, specifically when it comes to currency insights, and make informed decisions about their FX programs.
Ilan re-joined BBH in September 2019 after spending four years in the Capital Markets team at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as the London representative. Amongst other functions in the IMF, Ilan was one of the co-authors of the bi-annual Global Financial Stability Report. Prior to BBH, Ilan worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, at the foreign exchange trading desk, participating in the market operations and briefing senior policy markets within the Federal Reserve System.
Ilan holds a B.A. in economics and psychology from the University of Arizona and a M.A. in international relations from John Hopkins (SAIS).
