Problem solving and building connections – whether with colleagues or clients – have been consistent features of Dana Pasricha’s career. These characteristics have led to two recent major milestones for Dana: celebrating her 25-year anniversary at BBH and being named on @INvolve.people’s 2025 Heroes Top 100 Executives List. The global award celebrates Dana’s dedication to advancing women’s roles in financial services.
“This recognition is deeply meaningful to me because it reflects not just my personal journey, but the collective effort of so many incredible colleagues and mentors who are passionate about advancing women in our industry.”
Dana’s involvement in the Women’s Network is just one of many ways in which she has positively influenced BBH over the past 25 years.
Her educational background was in law, where she was drawn to analytical thinking and solving complex challenges. “I didn’t set out to work in financial services, but my love of problem solving and building solutions made a career in financial services a good fit. I also wanted to be out there with clients and BBH’s commitment to service really drew me in.”
As Managing Director and Head of Shared Services, Dana focuses on a range of products within Service Delivery at BBH. These divisions include functions such as Client Account Profile, Registration Services, Client Reporting, Security Master File, Funds Transfer, Reconciliation, Client Invoicing, Service Delivery Compliance, Institutional middle office, and Custody Tax Services.
Dana’s success has been driven by her ability to connect with clients, understand their needs, and harness BBH’s resources to create the most impactful solutions.
“It pays to meet with clients, sit down with them and really learn their pain points and what solutions they need. I learned this early on in my career while I was in BBH’s custody division. At that time, we were building out new tax products. With a deep understanding of our clients, we were able to advocate in the industry groups, then design and build product and process outcomes closely tailored to their needs. The result was a tax product that is still differentiated in the eyes of our clients.”
This close dialogue is especially important in an increasingly technical business. To ensure market standards match both client and industry requirements, Dana finds simplifying some of the more complex aspects is key to delivering results.
For example, Dana recently led the reporting team from a fully manual, time-consuming process to an automated one. The work centered around BBH’s Report Delivery System that connects clients’ data. Previously, the process involved reviewing hundreds of documents to get a single report out. Now the team relies on a newly built platform that digitizes the process, automates its entire lifecycle, and is now leveraged horizontally across the firm. “This platform will help us deliver faster turnaround for new report requests for our clients.”
Dana constantly maintains her strategic eye, identifying other processes that are ripe for improvement, whether internally at BBH or among clients. She has never forgotten the need to listen carefully to clients and learn from their needs.
Driving Innovation with Discipline
For Dana, innovation is not about disruption for its own sake, but about disciplined transformation. Her approach balances curiosity and control by re-imagining traditional processes through data, technology, and design-thinking while safeguarding the stability clients and regulators depend on. She often describes this as “innovation within guardrails,” bringing new capabilities to life responsibly, with risk awareness and operational excellence at the core.
Creating strategy day to day
Whether it’s discussing industry shifts in cash messaging with BBH’s funds transfer unit, specific changes in tax regulation, or debating the evolution of complex registration markets that impact clients and the wider asset servicing industry, every day can present a different challenge.
“I have a wide set of responsibilities which I love. But while I thrive in that diverse environment, it does require me to be very disciplined and focused on strategy.
If I can make just one percent difference a day in terms of strategic progress, that is important,” she adds.
Mentorship has remained consistent
While Dana has moved between a few BBH products and business lines, her desire to give back has remained consistent. She has a strong reputation (and sense of pride) for mentoring and supporting colleagues.
Through her work with the Women’s Network, Dana has been heavily involved in developing programming to support professional growth, including negotiation workshops, senior leader panels, and events featuring influential industry figures who empower women both professionally and personally.
“The BBH Women’s Network has been one of the most fulfilling parts of my experience at the firm. Ultimately, I’ve had the autonomy to build, deliver, and impact real changes. I’ve been lucky to have access to great mentors and sponsors. It’s important to me that others have the same opportunity.”
Outside of BBH, Dana serves as a mentor with the 30% Club, a global initiative focused on achieving at least 30% representation of women in senior leadership and board positions.
“To me change is not about breaking some ceiling for female colleagues, it is more about what we can incrementally do for the next generation in terms of improving their opportunities and work experience.”
“I’m inspired by seeing how collective action, when fueled by shared purpose, can enhance our culture in meaningful ways,” she concluded.
