HOUSTON, TX – March 5, 2026 – Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. (BBH) is pleased to announce the addition of Scott Bayer as a Vice President and Senior Wealth Planner in the firm’s Houston office. Scott brings a deep knowledge of sophisticated wealth planning to BBH and will work directly with ultra-high net-worth individuals, families, and private business owners on wealth transfer planning, trust and estate administration, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax issues, and charitable planning.

Scott joins BBH from Gray Reed, where he was a Partner in the firm’s estate planning practice, advising high net-worth individuals and families on a wide range of sophisticated wealth planning matters, including wealth transfer planning, trust and estate administration, and charitable giving. He has also worked closely with family business owners on the planning, formation, and transfer of closely held business and property interests.

“Scott’s depth of experience and long-standing commitment to serving families and business owners will be a tremendous asset to our Texas-based clients,” said Matthew Summers, Managing Director. His ability to translate complex estate and wealth transfer strategies into clear, actionable plans brings tremendous value to the families we serve. We look forward to the unique perspective he will bring to helping our clients navigate generational planning with confidence and clarity.”

“Scott’s holistic approach and technical expertise align well with BBH’s client-first culture, and we are excited to welcome him to the firm,” said Matt Moncrief, Managing Director. “He understands that effective planning is as much about values and legacy as it is about technical strategy. Scott strengthens our commitment to delivering customized solutions that help our families achieve long-term success.”

“I’m thrilled to join BBH and to work alongside such a collaborative team serving families and private business owners,” said Scott Bayer. “BBH’s long-term perspective and integrated approach to advising clients strongly align with how I’ve worked throughout my career, and I look forward to helping clients build and preserve wealth across generations.”
