John C. Walsh Managing Director, Private Wealth Management, Private Banking
John Walsh joined Brown Brothers Harriman in 1991 and is currently the head of the Boston Private Banking office, where he oversees a team of professionals who provide investment advisory services for high-net-worth clients. Initially upon joining BBH, he served as an investment banker, advising owners of successful privately held companies on the sale of their businesses. Mr. Walsh then joined BBH’s private equity business and spent six years as one of five investment partners overseeing the investment of a $377 million private equity fund. At the conclusion of this fund’s investment period, he joined the Private Banking division. Mr. Walsh serves on the board of directors of Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island. He received his B.A. in economics and mathematics from Dartmouth College and is a CFA charterholder.
