Charles Shufeldt Senior Advisor, Corporate Advisory, Private Banking
Charlie Shufeldt rejoined Brown Brothers Harriman in 2010. He is the head of the Corporate Advisory Group and also heads the firm’s regional banking efforts. The Corporate Advisory Group is a team of senior-level corporate finance professionals dedicated to providing objective long-term strategic advice to BBH clients and prospects. The regional banking teams are responsible for building long-term relationships with private businesses and their owners. Mr. Shufeldt previously worked at SunTrust Bank, from which he retired as the corporate executive vice president, head of the corporate and investment bank and CEO of SunTrust Robinson Humphrey. He previously worked at BBH from 1976 to 1984.
Mr. Shufeldt is also a Senior Advisor to BBH Capital Partners, the firm’s private equity arm, and is actively involved in sourcing, evaluating and executing investments and providing post-investment value-added oversight to portfolio companies. He currently serves as a member of the board of directors of PrimeRevenue, Inc.
Mr. Shufeldt graduated from Washington and Lee University with a B.A. in European history and has an M.A. in international relations from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
