February 25, 2019 – Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. (BBH) is pleased to announce the appointment of four new General Partners: Suzanne E. Brenner, G. Scott Clemons, Lorrie L. Gordon and Michael J. McDonald, effective January 1, 2019. These four leaders are well recognized in their fields and have played important roles in the industry and at BBH.  Their appointments are an investment in the future of the firm and reflect recent and expected business growth.

Suzanne Brenner joined BBH in 2017 as the Chief Investment Officer for BBH’s Private Banking business. In this role, she chairs the Investment Research Group, which is responsible for capital allocation, portfolio investment decisions across client portfolios, and outside manager selection. Before joining BBH, Suzanne was a Senior Vice President and the CIO of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, where she managed the Met’s endowment. Prior to the Met, she was the Director of Investments for The Rockefeller Foundation. Suzanne is resident in New York.

Scott Clemons joined BBH in 1990 and is the Chief Investment Strategist for BBH’s Private Banking business. In this role, he is one of the firm’s leading thinkers, writers and speakers on topics related to the economy, financial markets and investing. Prior to this role, Scott was responsible for the firm’s New York Private Wealth Management business.  He is a CFA charterholder and a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts and the CFA Institute.  Scott is resident in New York.

Lorrie Gordon joined BBH in 1994 and is responsible for Digital Client Engagement within BBH’s Investor Services business. Lorrie is also responsible for a portfolio of client relationships in the Americas.  During her tenure at BBH, Lorrie has focused on the intersection of business and technology, serving as the Global Head of Infomediary®, the Chief Systems Development Officer, and the Co-Head of Information Technology. Lorrie also established the firm’s Real Estate Fund Services business and has served in a variety of client focused roles in Custody Services, Fund Accounting, Relationship Management, and Business Development.  Lorrie is resident in Boston.  

Mike McDonald joined BBH in 1992 and has global responsibility for the Relationship Management discipline within BBH’s Investor Services business. Mike is also responsible for a portfolio of client relationships in the Americas.  Prior to this role, he led the Investor Services Global Client Service organization. Mike has held roles in Boston, New York and across Europe, including the Head of Client Service for the Americas and the Country Head of BBH Ireland. In 2012, he launched the firm's office in Krakow, Poland.  Until his return to the US in 2018, Mike served as the Country Head of BBH Krakow and was also responsible for Client Service.  Mike will be resident in New York.
